SAFAR THE TRAVEL SAGA WORLD TOURISM DAY 2023

World Tourism Day 2023 was celebrated in Tourism and Hotel Management Program on 27th September, 2023 at 5 pm. The winners of Hospitality students' event 'Safar- The Travel Saga' organized on 22-23 September, 2023 were awarded. The program was presided over by HVC Prof Suneeta Mishra madam, who praised and guided students on Mocktails. The DGM Airport Sh. Ravindra Kumar was a guest of honor. Other guests form industry were Trident- learning and development assistant manager, Chef Ajay, lake palace, Mr Garasia, Manager Comfort inn etc. Along with this sponsors of the event, students from different hospitality institutions were present. Welcoming the guests Prof Hanuman Prasad, Course Director, THMP requested industry representatives to rethink on the pay levels being paid at lower level staff and executives and focused on pay levels equivalent to manufacturing or other service industries. He has also requested to think on pay differentials to graduate and non-graduate hospitality newcomers. Presently almost similar or marginally higher pay packages are being offered. He warned industry for skilled employees crunch looking at declining interest among students opting for hospitality. Most of the hospitality institutions are operating below capacity in udaipur.The program was followed by dinner prepared by students and staff.
